Het Laatste Kunstje, is a documentary by Jacomien Kodde about the artist duo and father and son Paul and Menno de Nooyer. Before his death, the seriously ill Paul wants to add another important work to his oeuvre. Father and son therefore devote themselves to their latest joint video projection performance. In this diptych, the narrative perspective shifts midway through the film from Paul to Menno, who has been witnessing his father’s decline for years. At the same time, the son struggles with the dependence that is inextricably linked to this special, symbiotic relationship.
