Zeeuwse Ridders is a documentary about the old Zeeland tradition of “ringrijden”. A sport that involves trying to spear a small ring on a lance while riding a horse. There’s a long tradition of sportsmen and women that pass the trade from generation to generation. Similarly, within the Willemse family with former champion Lou, both his sons practice “ringrijden”. For one son, winning the competition is the main thing, while for the other this becomes more and more secondary, while more modern occupations show up in life. Will this tradition survive?
